The Definition of Marriage

Now for what this site is all about: The Definition of Marriage. What we give here is based on what we've already covered in the Why Marriage and the Purpose of Marriage sections of our site. The first and most important definition, socially, is designed specifically for the legal and political arenas:

"Marriage is for the care of children and to ensure that they are both contributors to society and not a direct burden on its government. This is to be restricted to the original parents of the children or suitable replacements fitting the same requirements of citizenship, gender, marital privilage, and proper governmental registration."

It's not glamorous, but it does make the process of creating laws much more simple and less open to interpretation. There is no religious bias, scientific bias, or even social bias implied in this statement.

By adopting this definition of marriage there are other benefits to society. It will help ensure an improved care system for children and also proivde preventative measures for abuses, both child and marital. If the institution of marriage improves in our society there will be less crime, more prosperity, and less visits to the psychiatrist.

There are still a few issues to cover concerning marriage including Same Sex Marriage and Tradtional Marriage. Click on the link to the below to find out more.
